Sometimes a lady needs a cocktail.

A pink cocktail.

You all know what cosmos are, so I really don’t need to explain that, do I? It’s a chick’s vodka martini, essentially. If you aren’t familiar with them, please try one. They are wonderful.

I’ll show you how.

These are my ingredients: vodka, triple sec, lime juice, and cranberry juice. Some say that the vodka should be citrus-flavored (i.e. Absolut Citron), but I don’t have that so this is what I used. Also, I feel like bartenders tend to use a ton of cranberry juice because I always thought this drink was darker red, but a search for youtube how-to videos shows me that this pale pink is the way it’s supposed to look.

I’ve got some ice chilling in the martini glass so that it’ll be nice and cold, but I’ll dump that before I pour the drink.

My stainless steel shaker is pretty sweet. I believe hubby posted about it in his guest post.

Oh crap. I just realized he already posted about cosmos in his guest post. But I have pictures to share, so I’m still posting. You don’t mind, do you?

Shake everything with ice until the shaker is frosty.
